My name is Summer Lee, I am a visual artist based in Portsmouth and Brighton.
My work is mainly based around humanity and documentary practises. I am passionate about creating work that raises awareness for social issues through photo journalism, as well as capturing moments for public or private events.
I am also interested in creating different styles of portraiture, sometimes with the addition of props or costume to create characters or tell stories. I enjoy experimenting with shooting on location as well as using the studio to create images I am proud of.
I am currently part of the photography partnership Solas Photography, shooting events in Brighton, Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight, co-founded as part of my Self Employed Placement Year portion of my photography degree.
