This series acts as a photographic response to analytical text Integrating Disability: Transforming Feminist Theory by Rosemarie Garland-Thomson. ‘As a woman who has just recently joined the disabled community myself, I have been exploring my new identity and the stigma‘s that are attached to my new label. I felt inspired to try and capture a side of a disabled person that may not be acknowledged by society on a daily basis. My work focuses on the expression of identity as a disabled woman, to highlight what is often over looked or ignored entirely.’
